The Rijksmuseum is believed to be one of the treasures of Amsterdam and is a stop that everyone must make in order to truly enjoy the country. The exhibits they have include paintings from the 17th century Golden Age period featuring artists like Vermeer, Rembrandt, Jan Steen, and Frans Hals.
Rembrandt’s “Night Watch” is the museum’s centerpiece. You’ll also find works from the Middle Ages and the 18th and 19th centuries, superb collections of silver and delftware ceramics, old doll’s houses and fantastic examples of Asian Art.

The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens in Jacksonville, Florida was first opened in 1961. It is most famous for the beautiful gardens that are displayed and full of exotic flowers and walkways that allow you to better view and relax as you walk your way through.
The collection that is housed in the museum focuses on the history of art and has exhibits that cover over the many years. They go as far back as the ancient times and span all the way to the 20th century. Temporary exhibits are also presented throughout the year.

The Pantheon is one of the most historic buildings in Rome, Italy and is something that should not be overlooked when you are there for a visit. The structure was commissioned by Marcus Agrippa and restored by Domitian. Later it was re-built by Hadrian – which is when the dome was added.

If ever you visit New York City you must make sure to stop off at the Rose Museum in Carnegie Hall. The Rose Museum opened in 1991 as a part of the 100th anniversary to Carnegie Hall. It is located on the first tier level of the Hall and is home to exhibitions (that may vary during the year) and a collection of art taken from the archives of the Carnegie Hall.

The Musee National des Douanes located in Bordeaux, France has close to 5,000 objects that give visitors a look into the life and times of an officer of France. They have on display many uniforms, furniture, paintings, arms, tools, and engravings of what they used to look like, the jobs they had, and the tools they used.

The Shriver House Museum located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania is an award winning museum that was “dedicated to the civilian experience during the Battle of Gettysburg.” It was first constructed in the year 1860 for Hettie and George Shriver.
The home has 30 minute guided tours that will describe the experiences of the Shriver family during the War Between the States. On the tour you will see the way that they lived as well as the nest in the attic that was home to Confederate sharpshooters and where two soldiers were killed during the war.

Musee d’Orsay is located in Paris, France – one of the most romantic cities in the world. It is full of history and close to 2.5 million visitors every day flock to the doors of this museum to see the world’s largest collection of impressionist artwork as well as the history of France.
The building – called the Gare d’Orsay – was built as an attraction for the World’s Fair in 1900. It was during WWII that it was used as a refugee place for prisoners who had been freed and were looking for shelter.
