The Seattle Art Museum is one of the few museums that is recognized all around the world. Inside it holds amazing collections of Native American, African, and Asian works of art. It also includes modern art that was created by artists from the Pacific Northwest.

These collections – which are permanent – include 21,000 pieces of some of the largest European collections and exciting exhibits. The museum itself is located in downtown Seattle close to the waterfront.

It was remodeled and reopened back in 2007. This remodeling expanded the building so that it could add more to its collection. Before you step inside you will receive a peek of what to expect as you stare at the silhouette of the “Hammering Man” by Jonathon Borofsky. This sculpture is three stories and made out of steel. This is definitely a place that you and your family must visit when visiting Seattle.
